A Matchpoint Partscore

A student of mine asked me to demonstrate how an expert thinks about the play of the hand, so I have used this multiple choice format to do that. I let you answer the many questions I ask myself as the hand progresses, and then see if we agree. So come along and give those little gray cells a work-out.

You are playing matchpoints at your local club against a competent but not very advanced pair.

Your partner is a local expert, a well-known overbidder.

Some abbreviations that I use are.

LHO for your Left Hand Opponent and RHO for your Right Hand Opponent.

I will also make RHO a woman and LHO a man so that one's a he and the other a she.
